UCSD 60-70 Mustang Car Show May 21st

I have been corresponding with Seth M. Cohen regarding the USCD Mustang Show which he hops to hold on Wed May 21 3:30-5:30 at UCSD. He e-mailed me with the following

"Great! I really hope Ron will come as well as your neighbor.
The Shelby club was here for the class yesterday with ~12 cars.
Right now I am struggling to get half that from the Mustang club! I am surprised - so if you can rally the troops, I would welcome it."

So If you could attend the show please contact Seth at scohen@ucsd.edu. So far I think he only has about 5 cars confirmed (including me and Ron with the 71 Mach I)

He's a MCSD member surely MCSD can get more than 4-5 cars to help him out with his show.

As I've told you, I'll be there. Even though it's in the middle of the week and only for a couple of hours, I think we can give of our time to help Seth. Have you had any contact or comments regarding whether anyone else will show? Did I read this right, Seth's a member of the SDMC? Wow...I hope there's more that show up other than just the 4 of us. That won't reflect well for the SDMC... How many members are there in the SDMC, 350 or so??? I'm sure most of the club members have to work, that's probably the reason...Maybe no one reads these message boards??? Hey Eldy, this my big chance to have my own class....LOL. That's one more 71-73 than showed up at the Bay Show last year...We'll just make our own classes...

Hey Ron -
Rod will join us for the UCSD trip (he's the one we caravaned down with from Fabulous fords with the 65 GT P360). He postponed leaving for his son's graduation at Univ of Ks till Thursday so he could go! We'll see you at the Shell Station and leave at 3:10.

Hey Eldy..
My wife went with me on the Cruise last Sunday to Simpson's. She had a great time. Usually she's not one for going some where and just sittin. Her words...She's one of those gals that's always on the go...Now she's buggin me about what time are we leaving tomorrow, 2:15? She has the day off and is looking forward to the afternoon. Too bad her 65 GT coupe's not finished. Not sure I can get it finished by the October show. It's up in Bakersfield at a great body and paint shop. I picked this guy because he bleeds blue. And, he has 8 71-73Mach 1's.
He has a Boss 351 that needs some work, a couple of "K" cars, a galaxy with a 427 4 speed car and an early 64 1/2 Mustang Convertable that he's been going to work on for the psat 5 years.
Real laid back old guy like me...See ya Wednesday. Any more sign on's besides us 4-5? Sad...

Nice meeting you guys out there today. It was fun doing something different and meeting all those students.

We had a great time Wednesday, time went by way too quickly. Although there was a small turn out of cars, considering the venue, it was perfect. Actually allowed us to visit with the students who had lot's of question. Very knowlege, eager to know the diversity in the cars that were there. Hat's off to Seth (club member & owner of a "freshly" restored 73 red convert) Cohen for asking us to show our "stuff" to his students and the many passer's by that enjoyed the cars as well.

The setting was supurb in a secluded quad, not in a parking lot...Perhaps Seth would like to make this an anual event? Seems every week he has a different group, next week are those bad Mopar guys. It's all about the Muscle Car era, no matter the brand...

First time I'd met Cheri, great to have her support and enjoyed viewing her fine ride. My next car may be red -:)...good time by all. Thanks to Eldy for the promo and heads up...
