Idyllwild, an oasis of sanity, is nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains near Palm Springs at about 5500 feet of elevation. It is about 100 miles north of San Diego with the drive up there very scenic and unique. The village has lots of shops, galleries and craft stores to wander through, hiking trails, restaurants and the dramatic beauty of a quaint mountain town. This is one of the best cruise destinations of the year!
The club will be departing from the CoCo’s restaurant at Mission Gorge and Friars Rds. at 8:30 AM Sunday November 12, and returning to San Diego about 5:00PM. We will be free to roam about the village throughout the day, enjoy the scenery and small town atmosphere. Marc Bodrie will be hosting a small barbeque at his home in the Fern Valley area of Idyllwild in the early afternoon for those interested. You can also eat in one of the many fine restaurants in town if you’d like.
